ER doctors want you to have an advance directive!  

A recent survey of emergency medicine physicians has found that 85% believe having an advance directive helps ensure better quality patient care. And 88% felt that patients’ families were more comfortable with how doctors cared for their loved ones when there was an advance directive on file.

These ER physicians also said that advance directives make things easier for themselves. A full 93% said they felt less frustrated in situations where advance directives were easily accessible.  54% even used the word “relief” to describe their feelings upon learning that a patient already had an advance directive. 

So do yourself, your family and your ER doc a favor – make sure you have easily accessible advance directives!
